Charleston, SC is full of wonderful examples of both wrought iron and cast iron (although there is much more that is wrought). Here is a beautiful example of cast iron.

Charleston is full of wonderful wrought iron and cast iron (although there is much more that is wrought). This balcony is a beautiful example of cast iron. (Cast iron comes from molten metal being poured into a mold; wrought iron is heated metal beaten into shape by hand.)
