After days of torrential rain and grey, gloomy skies, Charleston is back to having brilliant blue overhead.
Flooding Tides
The Ashley River starts to creep over its banks as the very high tides and coastal flooding around Charleston continue. Not only is it flowing across the road, it is covering some sweetgrass, which is used to make the beautiful baskets found in the Lowcountry.
Drying Out
While the morning is a bit grey and gloomy, the streets of Charleston are mainly dry and there is no rain in the forecast. Here the flag flies proudly over the US Post Office and Federal Courthouse at the Four Corners of Law.
