There are so many spectacular colonial and antebellum houses in Charleston… this is just another one. Built in 1848, this house can be found on the corner of Charlotte and Alexander Streets. It was built as a wedding present by the father of the soon to be daughter-in-law of Governor William Aiken (of Aiken-Rhett house fame).
