A beautiful window box and wall on Atlantic Street. The black disk above the window is the end of an earthquake rod or bolt — which is used to hold the house together in case of an earthquake or hurricane.

    Thank you so much for these wonderful posts about my favorite city. We haven’t been able visit the past couple of years but hope to remedy that soon. My heart and soul longs to walk along The Battery and take in the wonderful sites of the Holy City. πŸ’ž
